2006 Honouree R. Clare Paul Born October 17, 1927. Raised on a family farm in Lanark County in Eastern Ontario. 1947: First exposure to sales in the feed business for Almonte Flour Mills. 1952: Joined Toronto Elevators Ltd. Agricultural division, where he became Territory Manager in the Huron County area, and later transferred to Eastern Ontario as Territory Manager for the Ottawa Valley. 1969: Appointed Assistant Sales Manager of Ontario – with responsibilities that spanned Yonge Street all the way to the Quebec Border. 1974: Appointed Marketing Manager of the Agricultural Division. 1978: Joined Imperial Molasses, and managed the marketing of molasses and liquid feed in Ontario and Alberta. 1980: Canada West Indies Molasses purchased Imperial Molasses. Clare continued to work in the molasses and liquid feed industry until his retirement in 1992. 1991: Awarded the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada (ANAC) Golden Globe Award.
