2007 Honouree Alf Budweth
Born on April 17th, 1929 in East Prussia, Germany.
The Budweth family immigrated to Canada in 1932. Sadly, two years later
Alf’s father passed away and they moved back to Germany.
In 1949 the Budweth family, once again immigrated to Canada.
Alf began his working career as a commercial fisherman in Port Dover, Ontario.
In 1956, Alf purchased the family farm in Nobleton, Ontario and operated a
beef and cash crop operation. He began purchasing Masterfeeds immediately and has been proudly associated with the company for 52 years.
Alf married Margaret Reinicke in 1961 and successfully raised four children
(Christina, Darlene, David and Alf Jr.).
He acquired Nobleton Feed Mill June 1, 1978 and has been a loyal Masterfeeds dealer for 30 years.
1995 to 2000, Alf was elected into the King Township Municipal Council.
As a family man, entrepreneur, farmer, feed miller, politician and community
leader, Alf Budweth exemplifies the persistence, vision and hard work that
continues to build a stronger Canada. |
