Masterfeeds made a commitment to serve the Canadian livestock and poultry industry with
quality people, products and programs backed by one of the finest research facilities in the world. That
pledge stands strong today.
Yesterday
Cafeteria Brand Feed was first introduced to Ontario farmers by Maple Leaf Milling in the late 1920's.
From the very beginning, this company was innovative and adopted a leadership position in Canadian agriculture.
Around 1930, the Toronto Elevator Company started selling quality feeds under the Masterfeeds brand name.
At about the same time, another company, Purity Flour Mills, sold products to farmers under the Pioneer
brand name. Thirty years later, these well-known Canadian companies united. This new company continued
to sell the Masterfeeds line of products.
By now, Masterfeeds was a national company selling quality products coast-to-coast. It continued to lead
the way in agricultural research and innovation. For example, Masterfeeds was the first to introduce the
50 lb. paper bag to the marketplace. This introduction was a significant improvement over the previous
industry standard of a 100 lb. jute bag. Another example of innovation was the pelleting and crumbling
of feeds. Masterfeeds was at the forefront of these innovations.
Today
Today Masterfeeds has feed manufacturing operations and numerous dealers across the country. Nutritionists,
quality control specialists and others ensure that farmers receive quality agricultural products to maintain
their competitiveness and efficiency.
Masterfeeds is part of Ag Processing Inc.(AGP), one
of North America's largest agri businesses.
Tomorrow
Tomorrow promises to be even better. Masterfeeds is dedicated to serving world markets through innovative,
quality products and services. In the future we will continue to provide a total line of performance-based
feeds to service the needs of the Canadian Livestock Industry. |
