Beginning
in 1941, served as Feeds Administrator of the Wartime Prices
and Trade Board.
For
efforts during WWII, he was awarded “A Member of the Order
of the British Empire ”.
Appointed
Vice President of Toronto Elevators Limited in 1943.
Founding
member of the Canadian Feed Manufacturers Association.
Named
a Fellow of the Agricultural Institute of Canada in 1941.
Chairman
of the Ontario Agricultural College Advisory Board.
Served
on the Board of Governors, University of Guelph (6 years on
board, 4 years as Vice-Chairman).
Named
Alumnus of Honour on behalf of the University of Guelph Alumni
Association in 1971.
Included
into the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame in 1986.
