A.W. "Bill" Archibald
Born in Toronto, July 8, 1911.
Graduated from University of Toronto (OAC) with a B.S.c. Agr. - 1934.
Joined Toronto Elevators Ltd. (Masterfeeds) as a feed salesman - 1935.
Promoted to Asst. Sales Manager in 1944 and Sales Manager in 1945.
Held positions of General Manager and Vice President of Toronto Elevators Ltd. from 1945 - 1965.
Appointed Senior Vice-President of the Agricultural Division of Maple Leaf Mills Ltd. in 1965.
President of the Canadian Feed Manufacturers Association 1972 - 1973.
Served as Chairman of the Ontario Institute of Agrologists and President of Advertising and Sales Club
of Toronto.
Retired from Maple Leaf Mills Ltd. in 1974.
Awarded an Ontario Agricultural College medal for his contributions to agriculture in 1974.
A.W. Archibald was instrumental in the progressive expansion of Masterfeeds throughout his career including
the development of numerous Canadian agribusiness professionals.
