Colum Quigley
Born September 13, 1923 in Ballina, Killaloe, Ireland.
Raised on family farm in County Tipperary.
Began agribusiness career at the age of 12 traveling by bicycle to serve customers for his uncle's business:
Hugh O'Brien Seeds, Feeds & Fertilizer.
1940 - Attended Illeskennery Agricultural College.
1943: joined Royal Air Force: became a "wireless operator".
1945 - 1957:
- Merchant Seaman sailing throughout the North and South American seas.
- Union Steward for General Motors, Oshawa, Ontario.

- Farm Supply Sales Representative, Ireland.
- Farmer, Ireland.

Began playing the accordion at the age of 5 and has professionally entertained audiences throughout Canada
and the United States for over 40 years.
Colum is the ninth Honouree Masterfeeds has recognized since 1994. However, he is the first career sales
professional to receive this distinction.
