Paul W. Couse

Born July 26 th , 1924, Calgary, Alberta.

Raised in Streetsville, Ontario.

Graduated from the University of Guelph (BSA Agriculture) in 1946.

Joined Toronto Elevators Limited with Masterfeeds in 1947.

Held sales and sales management positions with Masterfeeds until 1970 when he was promoted to Vice President - Seed Division.

Appointed Vice President – Agricultural Division of Maple Leaf Mills Ltd. in 1972.

Joined Prairie Malt, Saskatoon, as President from 1976 to 1978.

Appointed Director General, Agriculture Canada from 1978 to 1986.   Responsible for marketing Canadian Agri-food companies and their products internationally.

President, Paul W. Couse Research, 1986 to present.

President of the Ontario Institute of Agrologists, 1965.

President of the Agricultural Institute of Canada, 1971.

President of the Ontario Agricultural Alumni, 1972.

Member of the Board of Governors and Alumni Association, University of Guelph, 1963 to 1969.

Member of the Ontario Veterinary College Advisory Board throughout the 1980's.

Received the Centennial Medal from the University of Guelph, 1974.
