John Boomgaardt

Born 1941, Netherlands , Holland .

Graduated with a B. Sc. from the University of McGill in 1967.

Graduated with a M. Sc. from the University of McGill in 1969.

Received his PhD from the University of Illinois in 1972.

Joined Maple Leaf Mills Ltd. as a Nutritionist in 1972.

Promoted to Director of Feed Research in 1976.

Appointed to Manager, Research & Product Development in 1979.

Moved to London (Farm Supply Division), 1981.

Appointed to Manager, Nutrition & Technical Services - Western Canada in 2001.

Served as Chair, CFIA Nutrition Council, 1977.

Served as Vice-Chairman CFIA, 1989.

Proud father and friend to his three children Vickie, Scott and Katie.   

Died in Edmonton , Alberta , 2003.
