Production Operator - Komoka, ON

Packaging, processing of grain and feeds products, shipping and receiving, documentation of production and completion of HACCP records.  

Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years manufacturing experience.
  • Previous feed mill, or agricultural experience is an asset.
  • A proven track record of reliability and safe work habits.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting 25kg repeatedly.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to work at elevated heights as required.
  • Steel toed boots are mandatory.

Regular shifts are rotating shifts on days, afternoons and nights.   

Must be willing and able to work weekends.

Reliable transportation is a must.

Feed Mill Operator - Picture Butte, AB

All documentation of production and completion of HACCP records; cleaning work areas; daily bin checks for stock; loading customer bag finished feeds; shipping and receiving of feeds and ingredients both bulk and bags; other duties as required.  

Regular shifts are Monday to Sunday with overtime available.  Must be willing and able to work shift rotations on overnights, weekends and overtime.

Requirements:

  • Previous feed mill, or agricultural experience is an asset.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities and demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with HACCP (food safety) would be considered a definite asset.
  • Knowledge, understanding and daily adherence to workplace safety is mandatory.

  • Able to manage priorities and solve problems.

Truck Driver - Part-Time - Taber, AB

The successful candidate must have the ability to travel (short haul as required). Weekend/Shiftwork hours are expected. Hours of work are around 12 hours per shift, up to 30 hours per week, with the possibility of 40+ hours per week. 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year driving experience.
  • A valid Class 1 license and clean abstract with air brake endorsement.
  • Documentation experience, i.e. driver logbook – E-logs, inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, sequencing paperwork for feed loads.
  • Plan travel schedules and routes, use atlases and other trip planning aids, receive and relay information.
  • An excellent attendance record. 
  • Exceptional customer service skills and positive attitude.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma.

You will work closely with Account Managers and the Nutrition team to provide feed formulation, feeding management advice and technical support to our customers.   You will provide ongoing nutritional training and act as a resource for the regional sales team, additionally, you will participate in quality assurance and quality control programs.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess a minimum MSc (Agriculture) degree in Animal Nutrition (Ruminant).  Superior interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency in computer and nutrition software applications.  We invite new graduates and individuals with previous industry related experience to apply.

Positions Available:  Cashiers and Sales Associates – Regina, Saskatchewan Pet and Animal Health Department

Full time and part time positions available 

Key Responsibilities:
• Control and accurately count cash floats and perform weekend deposits.
• Operate cash register, process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments.
• Ensure high levels of customer service and support.
• Participate in merchandising and promotional activities including pet, feed, animal health and equipment.
• Work in partnership with the Management Team and other employees to maximize store sales.
• Maintain a professional appearance, demeanour and exceptional customer service attitude at all times.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a retail environment.  Preference will be given to persons with an agricultural background.

• Minimum of grade 12 or equivalent.
• Experience with securing and closing procedures including night key holder and alarm system activation. 
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. 
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
