Accounts Payable Clerk - Lethbridge, AB

Masterfeeds is looking for a detail oriented individual willing to do what it takes to get the job done.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work well under deadlines in a high volume environment.  The AP Clerk will report to the Accounts Payables Supervisor in our Lethbridge Office.  

The following outline duties are but not limited to:

  • Process payables paperwork for multiple locations across Western Canada
  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Maintain relationships with locations via phone/email
  • Filing
  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Month end deadlines
  • Weekly cheque runs
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Answer phones/direct calls
  • Available to work overtime if required

Requirements:

To qualify for this position the ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of A/P experience, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, possess a high school diploma required with college courses in accounting preferred. The candidate must also be detail oriented, have a strong work ethic and a professional attitude. Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner and have strong organizational and time management skills. Have the ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timelines. Hands-on working experience with Great Plains accounting system is a definite asset.

Ruminant Nutritionist - Southern Alberta

Reporting to the Manager of Ruminant Nutrition, this position will be responsible for developing ruminant feed programs and technical support.  

You will work closely with Account Managers and the Nutrition team to provide feed formulation, feeding management advice and technical support to our customers.   You will provide ongoing nutritional training and act as a resource for the regional sales team, additionally you will participate with quality assurance and quality control programs.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess a minimum MSc (Agriculture) degree in Animal Nutrition (Ruminant) with 3 to 5 years of industry related experience. Superior interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency in computer and nutrition software applications.

• Experience with securing and closing procedures including night key holder and alarm system activation. 
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. 
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
